I don't sell marketing.
I solve confusion.
Most "About" pages are résumés in disguise.
This is not that.
I'm Stephon Jacob.
And for most of my career, I've been brought in when brands feel stuck, invisible, or misunderstood—often after spending significant money on marketing that didn't work.
I've worked with brands like Days Inn, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cedars-Sinai, Nike, and the Washington Commanders, not because I had better tactics, but because I could see what others missed.
"The secret of success is to understand the other fellow's point of view."
— David Ogilvy
That ability—to see the brand the way the audience sees it—is where everything begins.
My background spans:
But credentials aren't the point.
The point is this:
I am hired when a brand needs to make sense again—
internally, externally, and emotionally.
I don't chase trends.
I don't sell packages.
I don't start with channels.
I start with the truth that unlocks everything else.
If you want a vendor, there are many.
If you want clarity, judgment, and an idea that lasts—
you're in the right place.
"Great advertising makes people stop and think."
A Letter from the Founder
Most marketing advice sounds confident.
Very little of it is honest.
I've watched brands spend millions chasing leads, platforms, and tactics—without ever answering the most important question:
Why should anyone care?
When that question goes unanswered, everything downstream suffers:
I didn't start Know Us to add more noise to that system.
I started it to help brands slow down long enough to see themselves clearly again—often for the first time.
The work I'm proudest of didn't come from optimization.
It came from re-seeing:
That kind of work doesn't start with tactics.
It starts with truth.
"If you're trying to persuade people to do something, it helps to use their language."— David Ogilvy
My job is to find that language—and the idea behind it—before anyone spends another dollar.
I don't work with everyone.
I don't try to.
But if your brand feels unclear, stuck, or underestimated, I know how to help.
Clarity is where everything begins.
